Update on the C64 power supply
26/01/17 - New update on the project here I was working on the version 3 of the power adapter for Commodore 64 in the last 2 month, a new model that should correct all of the problem the last versions have. I had started by replacing the modified sine wave by a pure sine wave, everything was going great but when I started testing the prototype, I realized that a pure sine wave generator was not enought to remove the buzzing noise coming from the common mode filter, to remove completely the noise I needed to have a isolation...

Commodore 64 Power Adapter is available and other info
22/10/16 - New update on the project here After several month, the v2 of the Commodore 64 power adapter is back in stock. I have change a lot of thing on it that have increase the price a little (29€ to 33€). For people who think that it's too expensive for a power supply, I can't blame you that why I will propose a cheaper alternative around 15€ by using 2 power supply (5V and a NES power supply). I work also on a Philips CDI 450 replacement power supply, I know nobody ask for it but I...

At the end of this month, I will do some refresh on the website (photo, description, ...), add new product and start new project. Finally, for the C64 replacement power adapter, the v3 prototype PCB is on the way from China. V3 simply because the different motherboard...

Update : Commodore 64 Power Adapter
So I receive all the part for the Commodore 64 replacement power supply, I assemble one board, everything work fine, the different C64 model with different motherboard power on fine but there is one annoying problem... The MOSFET transistor that I use to make the 0/12V signal make too much noise because I use them in 50Hz switching. Maybe I use too big transistor with not the adaquate spec for this kind of work, I have started to search a solution for this problem but the thing is that I have to redo the PCB. This will take me some...

Replacement Power Adapter for Commodore 64
26/01/17 - New update on the project here I am pleased to present a new product to the shop: a power adapter for Commodre 64.I worked on this project for some time and I finished the final tests.Compare to other console, the power supply of the C64 is a little weird because it provides AC 9V (1A) and regulated 5V (1.7A).At first I thought that I would use a multi-voltage power supply but unfortunately the computer does not work with 2 DC voltages. 1) Replaced the 5V DC:Make 5V presents no difficulty, since the C64 is rated 1.7A,...
